This is a CT scan of a set of Russian nested dolls, also known as a "Matrioshka" carved out of wood. The grain of the wood can be clearly visualized as can the tiniest of all the dolls in the center. The smallest doll is solid, of course, which is clearly demonstrated. The movie below takes us slice by slice in a saggital orientation through the Matrioshka set.
